Serve

Once a month Resolution Church heads out on a Sunday morning to "worship by service." Invite a friend and let's go serve the world together!

 

Why? Because we love Jesus. He said:

Luke 22:27 - "For who is greater, the one who is at the table or the one who serves? Is it not the one who is at the table? But I am among you as one who serves."

  • We want to be like Jesus.

Matthew 24:40 - "The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'

  • We want to serve Jesus by serving our neighbors.

Matt.23:11 - “The greatest among you will be your servant.”

  • We want to influence the world the same way Jesus did.

John 13:17 - “Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.”

  • We want to be blessed, don't you?

We invite you to join us the first Sunday of each month as we send people out to serve our city, remembering this promise of scripture:

       "and if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry
       and satisfy the needs of the oppressed,
       then your light will rise in the darkness,
       and your night will become like the noonday." -Isaiah 58:10

Past Service Projects Include:

  • Bringing lunch to our homeless friends around Atlanta and praying for them.

  • Connecting with and serving food to those in the 7 Bridges to Recovery Homeless Shelter.

  • The children of Resolution Church enjoy singing to and playing games with the elderly in local nursing homes.

  • GO GREEN - Serving the community through participating in green projects at Piedmont Park.

  • Handing out drinks and snacks to GA State students who are moving out or going to finals.

  • Helping rebuild homes after the September 09' Atlanta flood.
