Ministry Updates

This semester has been such a great time of personal growth and ministry to the athletes. God has, again, reached these athletes far beyond our expectations. He is moving strongly on the Georgia Tech campus and we, as leaders, are just sitting back and enjoying the ride.
In February, 925 National Director, Adrian Crawford came to speak to a room of over 30 athletes about raising the bar and living a God directed life vs a self directed life. Five athletes responded and received Christ into their life that night, it was so encouraging! 925 also had numerous life groups amongst the swimming, cheerleading, and baseball teams, all led by our group of student leaders. It was so great to see the students excited and encouraged to reach the lost on their teams and see them grow through serving and ministering to their peers.
In March we had a women's retreat up at the lake house on lake Hartwell. The weekend was filled with much needed peace and relaxation. It was such a time to grow in relationship with each other and to listen to God speak, away from all the demands of our daily lives. Vision was cast, hearts were filled with the love of God and deeper relationships were nurtured.
In April, Alex's father, Dr. James Williams, biologist and born again christian, came and spoke to about 25 athletes about the farce of evolution and what the bible says about how we got here and why evolution does not make any sense. It was so amazing to see how the bible has the answer to EVERYTHING, even some of the toughest questions that scientists continue to ponder.
As a close out to a great year we brought 925 to a party at Steve and Stacy Tamborra's. It was a great time to celebrate with each other and grow as a family. We also had two of the athletes participate in water baptism and share their testimonies. It was so great to walk along side these students and see how God is growing them and such a gift to be a part of such a strong move of God on the girl's lives!
This semester has been so great and we are so encouraged with everything that has gone on amongst the teams and athletes at Georgia Tech.
